Suspect in killing of Bacoor public safety driver arrested

Authorities have captured a suspect involved in the killing of a Bacoor Public Safety Department (PSD) driver during a manhunt operation on Jan. 1.
Bacoor City police said that two other suspects, including one known as “Moda Pagare,” are still at large and remain the subject of an ongoing search.
The victim, Patrick Ian, was shot multiple times while driving at around 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 31. Investigators later learned that PSD personnel were conducting a clearing operation near the Zapote Bacoor Market, during which they confiscated merchandise from vendors who were violating established boundaries.
Patrick Ian’s companions suggested that the shooting may have been connected to the enforcement action carried out by PSD personnel.
