A 70-year-old woman who owned a school was found dead inside her office after she was unable to escape a fire that broke out on Sept.3 night in Barangay Sta. Cruz 1, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
The victim was identified as Mrs. Violeta, owner of Brentwood Academy in the area. She became trapped inside the office while she was sleeping.
Based on the initial police report, the fire broke out at around 8:32 p.m. and started in one of the school’s classrooms. The incident was reported to firefighters shortly after 9 p.m.
After the fire was put out, the victim’s burned body was discovered inside the administrative office where she had been sleeping.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) was still determining the cause of the fire.
